OSLO OPERA HOUSE IS A STEALTH SKATE PARK



If you haven't heard already- word has been spreading worldwide since Wired dropped the news of the reported stealth skate park in the disguise of an opera house. We know what your thinking- Whaaat, is this for real? Indeed, its true. Based in Oslo Norway, the newly built marvel was brought to life by the the international architecture firm Snøhetta. The firm sourced and collaborated with a team of skateboarders which in turn providing their preferred surface textures to ride. The end result is an inspired glacial structure composed of a variety of marble and granite finishes, and consists of raised ledges, curbs, and benches. One noteworthy spot is the 3-foot-wide railing of smooth stone. For the full read visit Wired.
